I think we gon' be ok for a lonnggg, longgg time

Well put Crooked I, well put.

Fellow fans of the black and silver, we can now watch our most beloved, best player, in fact one of the most beloved and best players of all time in the NBA, Sir Timmy, retire  and age with grace. We can now breathe a sigh of relief if injury begins to catch up with him. While I don’t think Duncan will start to really decline for another 2-3 years or so and then maybe retire, my point is that his legacy looks like it will be well kept. Because simply put, as per the past 30ish years, the place where the decisions are made, a department sometimes referred to as the front office in this world we call sports, has done a fantastic job trading, signing and drafting this offseason in San Antonio, Texas. Tim Duncan came into the league and won a championship as a rookie. He was tutored by the best (the admiral) and then won 3 more with a squad built around himself. He developed his game until becoming perhaps the most fundamental power forward to ever play basketball. His kisses off the glass were sweeter than Splenda, and we’re just praying he can do for this young squad what David Robinson did for Tim and the boys, leave a lasting legacy, retire with your team in a position to win!

And this, I believe, will happen. I think Tim will still be an all star next season, making the 3rd all NBA team at least, but its the rest of the Spurs that are really exciting me, because unfortunately, like us all, the pride and joy of the spurs is gettin old.

First off, San Antone struggled against Dallas in the playoffs last season mainly due to an injured Manu Ginobili. Their performance was a big disappointment based on how well they played in the season but it’s aight, 48minutesofhell.com is reporting a Tom Brady like rehab effort by the Argentinean, a.k.a. WAY AHEAD OF SCHEDULE. The star of the worst “where amazing happens” commercial of all time should be back in top form next season.

Second up, the trades. Oh my my the trades. The spurs managed to acquire Richard Jefferson from the Bucks in exchange for Oberto, Bowen and Kurt Thomas (who?). But wait, it now looks like they may get Bowen back, by far the most valuable man to San Antonio involved in that trade (other than RJ of course). Well played Mr. Buford, well played. On the free agent front, hello Antonio McDyess. You should be a nice short term, veteran replacement for Fabricio, but it’s the draft where we got long term coverage for Timmy D, and hopefully at great value.

I just wanna play for Poppovich!!!

I just wanna play for Poppovich!!!

With the 37th overall pick in the draft, the San Antonio Spurs select Pittsburgh’s Dejuan Blair. Wait, He’s still available? The anchor of one of the top ranked teams in the country? Sure, we’ll take him. We also happen to have an aging big man who can show him the way. Remember Timmy D and Tony P? The future is Tony P and Dejuan B!!!!

So lets sum up the squad, shall we? Tony P runnin the point of course, Roger Mason aka Clutch City at the 2 spot (Manu usually prefers to come off the bench), RJ at the 3, Timmy D at the 4, and Goddam McDyess/a fresh Dejuan Blair switchin off at the 5 spot. That might be totally incorrect but hey, sounds nice!! So rest your head gently tonight San Antone fans. All the cries and panics of “The Dynasty’s done!” and “Timmy’s time is over” is all bullshit. Our legacy is well taken care of.

            BallHype: hype it up!

DeJuan Blair is 6′7. His time at the 5 will be oh so fucking limited.

And I’m calling it right here right now. Ginobili is DONE as an “elite” NBAer. It was baffling to me that he was considered a star in the first place, and now that he is at best the 4th best player on the Spurs roster, his time in the spotlight is over.

Jefferson will be twice the third option Manu was.

Ive never tasted Splenda, but im assuming its a little less sweet than sugar.

So like the Walter Payton of basketball, but not quite as good?

And I can’t believe I’m giving editorial advice but proper names are capitalized, like Spurs instead of spurs.

It may sound picky but TM ripped my shit for my awful grammar, so I’m just happy to be on the other side for once haha.

Splenda is actually sweeter than sugar.

I know…what will they think of next, right?

  5. 5. kcroberts Says:

first margarine that tastes like butter, then coke zero that tastes like coke, now fucking splenda that is SWEETER than sugar. How is anyone fat anymore?

I know, once splenda and coke zero i dropped like 100 lbs.
